Other Mechanics

Systems that do not fit cleanly into other feature pages.

Spawn Protection

  • PvP-safe zone: square around spawn (default +/- 500 X/Z).
  • Build-safe zone: inner square (default +/- 100 X/Z) blocks placing/breaking/interactions.
  • Hazards blocked near spawn: TNT, end crystals, lava, flint and steel, anchors, and more.
  • Combat near spawn: combat-tagged players inside the protected zone take chip damage and are gently moved out after a short delay.

Spawn Command

  • /spawn only works near spawn.
  • Current range: build-protect radius (100) plus a 16 block buffer.
  • Teleport is instant and places you on safe ground.

World Border Automation

  • Start size: 9000 blocks.
  • Daily growth: +2000 blocks at noon until 25000 (first Saturday).
  • Smooth transitions: each increase happens over 60 seconds.

Difficulty Curve

  • Easy at season start.
  • Normal on the first Wednesday.
  • Hard on the first Saturday.

Sleep Percentage

To reduce night-skipping but keep villages active:

  • First 2 days: 1% of online players.
  • Ramps to 5% by the first Saturday.
  • Cap: 5% after that.

End Access

  • The End is disabled during the pre-season lockout and opens 2 weeks after season start.
  • Trying to enter early shows a countdown message with time remaining.
  • The End world is also pre-enabled in bukkit.yml 24 hours early so restarts do not block it.

Dragon Egg Perk

Keeping the Dragon Egg in your inventory grants:

  • 10% damage resistance
  • No fall damage

Minimap Fair Play

The server enforces fair-play rules for popular minimaps:

  • Xaero: fair-play or disabled modes per world.
  • VoxelMap/JourneyMap: radar + cave map are disabled by color-code signals.
  • ReplayMod: no-noclip and no-xray restrictions.
