Tracking
Use /track <player> (alias /tr) to follow another online player.
The action bar shows their name, distance, and dimension.
/track stop cancels your current target.
Eligibility
- You cannot track yourself.
- The target must have at least 3 hours of playtime.
- Tracking can be fully disabled on No Tracking Day.
Tracking Modes
- Exact - live distance + direction arrow.
- Vicinity - distance rounded to buckets (no arrow).
- Disabled - tracking is off for everyone.
What Stops Tracking
Tracking will stop if:
- You or the target starts sneaking.
- You or the target becomes invisible.
- The target logs out.
Elytra Cooldown (Vicinity Mode)
Vicinity tracking also ends if the tracker is wearing or using an elytra. Once you wear an elytra, you get a 10 minute tracking cooldown. Trying to track during the cooldown shows how long is left.
Cross-Dimension Support
- Overworld
<->Nether - distances auto-convert using the 8:1 ratio. The action bar shows the ratio tag so you know conversion is active. - End - if both are in the End, distance shows normally.
Action Bar Setting
Tracking uses the Action Bar. If you have Action Bar disabled in /settings,
tracking will still run but you will not see the live readout.
