/nickname

Set a nickname for yourself (alias: /nick). Trusted players can set nicknames for others.

Syntax​

/nickname <nickname> /nickname off /nickname <player> <nickname>

Examples​

  • /nickname NapKing
  • /nickname off
  • /nickname Alex Builder
  • /nickname <gradient:#ff6a00:#ffd500>Glow</gradient>

Formatting tips​

  • Nicknames support legacy color codes (&a, &l, &#FFAA00) and MiniMessage tags.
  • Color and gradient codes only work if you have the nickname color permission. Otherwise colors are stripped.
  • Gradient helper: Birdflop RGB Gradient Tool
    • Choose the MiniMessage output, then paste it after /nickname.

Limits and rules​

  • Max length is 15 characters (not counting color codes).
  • Nicknames cannot match another player's real username.
  • Staff terms and blocked words are not allowed; auto-moderation can remove nicknames.
  • Requires the nickname cosmetic unlock.
