Lifesteal

NapMC uses a heart-steal system for PvP progression.

Heart Limits

  • Minimum: 1 heart (2 HP)
  • Maximum: 20 hearts (40 HP)

If you die at 1 heart, you are eliminated.

PvP Heart Transfer

  • Killing a player gives +1 heart (if your heart-gain cooldown is ready).
  • PvP death above 1 heart costs -1 heart.
  • Heart gain cooldown is 15 minutes per killer.
  • If the killer is already at 20 hearts, they get an Extra Heart item instead of max-health increase.

Elimination and Revival

  • Eliminated players cannot rejoin until revived.
  • Revival uses a Revive Beacon (GUI target selection).
  • Revived players return at 3 hearts (not full hearts).

Heart-Crafting Rune Drops

The old heart-material system is now part of runes:

  • Corrupted Mob Soul Rune: 0.4% base (1 in 250), any mob
  • Severed Mob Heart Rune: 0.2% base (1 in 500), any mob

These are crafting runes used for Extra Heart crafting.

Drop chance scaling uses the rune formula:

effectiveChance = min(1.0, baseChance * (1 + 0.10 * lootingLevel) * runeMultiplier)

This means weekly Rune Multiplier events also boost these drops.

Combat-Log Interaction

  • Logging out while combat-tagged can still be processed as a combat-log death.
  • If a valid killer is attributed, normal heart-transfer rules still apply.
