Tracking

Use /track <player> (aliases /tr, /trackplayer) to follow a live target. Use /track stop to cancel your active track.

Eligibility

  • You cannot track yourself.
  • Target must have at least 3 hours playtime.
  • Target must be online.

Event-Driven Modes

  • Exact (current)
    • Exact distance + direction arrow.
    • Default update interval: 20 ticks (1 second).
  • Vicinity
    • Bucketed distance only (no direction arrow).
    • Default update interval: 1200 ticks (60 seconds).
  • Disabled
    • /track is blocked for no-tracking windows.

Auto-Cancel Conditions

Tracking is cancelled when any enforced rule breaks, including:

  • tracker becomes invisible
  • target becomes invisible
  • tracker sneaks
  • target sneaks
  • target logs out

Elytra Rule (Vicinity Only)

In vicinity mode only:

  • Wearing/using elytra cancels tracking.
  • A 10-minute cooldown starts.
  • Cooldown blocks starting/continuing vicinity tracking.

Exact mode does not enforce the elytra cooldown rule.

Auto-Resume

  • If your tracking is cancelled by a temporary restriction, auto-resume can retry your last target.
  • This uses your /settings toggle: Tracking Auto Resume.

Cross-Dimension Handling

  • Overworld/Nether distances auto-convert at 8:1.
  • End distances are direct when both players are in End.

Output Behavior

  • Action bar is the primary output.
  • In vicinity mode, chat reminders can also appear periodically (default every 60s).
