Other Mechanics

Systems that do not fit cleanly into other feature pages.

Season Timing

  • Each season runs for 4 weeks (28 days).
  • Final Fight is at the end of the 4-week season.
  • There is a 1-week break before the next season starts.

Use /season for live dates in server time.

Spawn Protection

  • PvP-safe square: default +/-500 X/Z around spawn.
  • Build-protect square: default +/-100 X/Z around spawn.
  • Build/interactions/hazards are heavily restricted in spawn protection.
  • If you are combat-tagged in protected spawn space, you take periodic chip damage and get moved out.

/spawn Behavior

  • /spawn is only for the spawn area (anti-stuck use), not global travel.
  • Allowed range is build-protect radius plus buffer (100 + 16 by default).
  • Teleport is instant and places you on safe ground.

World Border Progression

  • Season launch border: 9000.
  • Daily growth: +2000 at noon (server timezone).
  • First Saturday target cap: 25000.
  • Growth transitions use smooth border movement.

Players outside a world border are automatically moved back to a safe in-bounds location.

Difficulty and Sleep Curve

  • Difficulty at launch: Easy.
  • First Wednesday: Normal.
  • First Saturday: Hard.
  • Sleep percentage starts at 1%, then ramps and caps at 5%.

End Access

  • End is locked before the End Opens milestone.
  • End opens at SeasonStart + 14 days.

Dragon Egg Relic

Keeping the Dragon Egg in your inventory grants:

  • 10% damage reduction
  • Fall damage immunity
  • (Elytra infinite durability is not on the egg; that is now the Dragon Rune.)

Protection rules for the egg:

  • Cannot be dropped.
  • Cannot be placed.
  • Cannot be moved into external containers.
  • Cannot be stored in bundles.
  • Cannot be burned, exploded, or despawned.
  • If lost to void death, it is rescued to a safe location on/near the main End island.

Minimap Fair Play

Server-enforced fair-play restrictions are applied for common minimap clients (Xaero, VoxelMap, JourneyMap) to reduce radar/cave-map abuse.
